What is RMBS?
The RMBS has been held annually since 1964. Initially
at sites in and around the Rocky Mountain area, the
conference has grown to become a regional symposium
with meeting sites throughout the entire Midwest.
Attendees come from all over the world. Attendance and
professional paper presentation by individuals from
outside the Midwest are encouraged and welcomed. Accepted
papers are published in nationally distributed Conference
Proceedings through the Instrument Society of America (ISA),
which is also archived in online databases such as MEDLINE
and PubMed. Copies of the proceedings will be available at
the meeting. Those interested in organizing sessions, or
company exhibitions, should contact the Conference Chair.
Presentations and posters by students are particularly
encouraged, and cash awards will be given to the best student
papers and posters in a variety of categories.
Fundamental topics emphasized at the meeting will be:
- Bioinstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics
- Biomedical Signal Processing
- Cell & Tissue Engineering
- Medical Informatics
- Biomedical Modeling
**Papers with applications to the various physiological systems
(e.g., cardiovascular, orthopaedic, etc.) were particularly
welcomed in these areas.
